We’d like to say thanks to the Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance for putting on another great National Cybersecurity Awareness Month! This year’s theme inspired a great dialog within T-Rex and served as a useful reminder for everyone of the importance of basic cyber hygiene practices.

Security is a habit built on a culture that starts at the top. We learn from our leaders – our parents at home and our supervisors at work. We should all strive to set the example, follow the practices, and support the IT and Security Team’s efforts. Their goal is to enable secure, uninterrupted business operations for the success of the entire company.

As a fitting end of this month’s focus on cybersecurity, several T-Rex employees got to enjoy another great BSidesDC event over the weekend. This event was highlighted by our own JR Presmy’s presentation that showcased his SIEM expertise!

T-Rex’s Brandi Price and Nic Jones enjoying BSidesDC and learning more about information security.

We’re looking forward to NCSAM 2020!
