Cloud computing spend totaled $6.6 Billion collectively across the Federal government in 2020, despite multiple Cloud acquisitions being put on hold. This is slightly more than $6.1 Billion in 2019, according to a Bloomberg Government (BGOV) analysis.
T-Rex rose to the top of the leaderboard, being named the #1 Cloud Support Services provider across government from FY16-FY20, due to our Technical integration work with the U.S. Census Bureau. U.S. Census Bureau’s Cloud integration contract was named the single largest Federal cloud contract in FY20, at $524 Million. Additionally, T-Rex is the second-largest vendor in terms of Cloud spend in the Federal Civilian market since FY16.
The Cloud Computing market is defined by BGOV using PSC Codes, contract numbers and cloud-specific keyword searches of Federal contracts, task orders, transaction titles and requirements. BGOV forecasts Federal cloud spend will continue to climb, reaching $8.5 Billion in FY23, using an expected annual growth of 9-10%. Civilian agency Cloud spend is projected to reach $5.8 Billion while Defense agency Cloud spend is projected to reach $2.7 Billion.
Since FY16, T-Rex’s Technical Integration contract with the U.S. Census Bureau generated more than $1.3 Billion, nearly 5 times that of our closest competitor and more than the top 8 competitors spend combined.
This BGOV recognition complements previous accolades from GovWin as the #1 Civilian Cloud Contractor from FY17-FY19.
BGOV’s analysis demonstrates that the “new normal” of remote work will continue to drive demand for not only Cloud Services but also for increased cybersecurity. T-Rex’s expertise in Cloud Services, Cybersecurity and Data Analytics puts us in the perfect position to help our customer’s meet their missions and continue to progress on IT Modernization initiatives.
