T-Rex Solutions, LLC announced today that Vice Admiral (Ret.) Nancy Norton joined its National Security Board of Advisors.

VADM Norton served as the Director of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and simultaneously served as the Commander of the US Cyber Command component responsible for missions to secure, operate and defend the Department of Defense’s information network.

“I am looking forward to working with T-Rex and my National Security Board of Advisors colleagues to provide insights from my experience within DISA and the U.S. Navy,” said VADM Norton. “T-Rex’s ability to launch and secure the technical integration of the United States Census is a capability we have to replicate and mature throughout the defense and intelligence communities.”

The National Security Board of Advisors convenes government, military and industry leaders to inform T-Rex’s response to national security needs. The board advises T-Rex’s leadership on how to shape IT solutions to serve the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

Norton previously served as the U.S. Navy’s Director of Warfare Integration for Information Warfare, where she oversaw the full spectrum of Navy systems, including communications, command and control systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, cryptologic warfare, electronic warfare, meteorological systems and cyber operations.

Additionally, VADM Norton served as the Director of Command, Control, Communications and Cyber for the U.S. Pacific Command.

“VADM Norton’s unparalleled expertise at the intersection of national security and information technology will help us grow and mature our approach to IT modernization and cybersecurity,” said Dab Kern, executive vice president of national security programs at T-Rex. “We are beyond the days of simply protecting data and building resilience. We must achieve technical overmatch on the global stage.”

After the company’s proven success in designing, implementing and operating the active cyber defense solution that secured 2020 Census data, T-Rex is working with the defense and intelligence communities to counter cyber threats and modernize IT infrastructure. T-Rex served as the technical integrator of the 2020 Census as it was offered online for the first time in history. It’s successful rollout and unassailable security is now a model for how Federal government can quickly and securely modernize citizen services.
